Hello, and thank you for taking the time to check out our page! Founded in 1948 and rechartered in 2002, the Maine Alpha Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has proven to be a beacon of excellence at the University of PlaceNameMaine. We at SigEp have achieved numerous accomplishments in recent years. Our fraternity has received Chapter of the Year the past two years in a row. We are also the reigning Fraternity Intramural Champions, which we have earned the past two years. On top of all this, our chapter has sustained GPA well above the all-male campus average. Maine Alpha truly breaks the stereotype of the “Animal House” fraternity.
Maine Alpha is incredibly proud of its achievements, which we credit to our emphasis on the Balanced Man Ideal. To SigEps, a balanced man exhibits leadership, scholarship, athleticism, and gentlemanly behavior. Men who exhibit these qualities and are committed to the cardinal principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love are those we wish to become a part of our brotherhood! Our brothers are well represented in all areas of campus life, and serve as a models for the rest of the University of Maine community.
Thank you once again for taking the time to view our page, and if you are interested in looking into becoming a part of SigEp more, fill out the prospective members sheet online, or contact me at dustin.jalbert@umit.maine.edu! Also, never be afraid to approach someone wearing our traditional red hoodies with our letters on them and ask a simple question "What can you tell me about SigEp?" We are always there to help!
Sincerely,
Dustin Jalbert
